European Centre for Survivor Advocacy

An independant initiative for advocates with lived experience of sexual violence, abuse or exploitation. We work to set safegaurding standards among organisations, media and government professionals who engage with survivors across Europe.

Policies should be written with ink, not blood.

Survivor advocates are some of the strongest, most resilient people you will ever meet. They are the leaders, helpers and fighters everyone turns to – but who can they turn to when they need support? This centre was created to fill this crucial gap: to prioritise the safety and wellness of those who have already sacrificed so much in the fight for justice.

Safeguarding

Our foundational goal: set the safety and wellbeing of survivors as the top priority in advocacy partnerships.

Education

Knowledge is power, and everyone in this movement deserves to have access to important information and guidance.

Training

We teach organisations about the risks advocates face today and how to safeguard partnerships with survivors.

Connection

Survivor advococy often happens in silos; our inititiave helps advocates and allies across Europe find and partner with each other.

International Advocacy Workshop

Do you want to learn more about how to actually influence policy changes in the European Union, United Nations or other international justice systems? Are you looking for a way to make a meaningful impact without having to sacrifice your own mental health, finances, relationships and wellbeing? Do you wish you could feel less alone and more connected to other people trying to do the same thing too?

In this 3-day pilot workshop, we invite you to come to Brussels – the political capitol of Europe – for a face-to-face interactive training. You will have the opportunity to visit the EU institutions in person, including the European Parliament, meet experts in the field of international advocacy, and connect with other people passionate about the fight to end child sexual abuse, exploitation and violence online.
